As the UK’s ‘Fourth Estate’ has recently brought to light allegations of sexual abuse of children and vulnerable adults, Contemporary Psychotherapy is mindful of other, perhaps unheard, survivors of similar acts of violence against the self. Therefore, it maybe worth revisiting what we already know about this topic, or find out more about it; there are numerous agencies that exist for survivors and for those who may be being bullied. Here are a few:

SEXUAL ABUSE
Childline offers a free-of-charge telephone service for all children and young people who need help to escape sexual abuse, to understand more about it and get help from a trained counsellor.

The Lucy Faithful Foundation whose purpose is to safeguard children and young people from sexual abuse by preventing it and responding to it.
