Vinod Thacore, MRCPsych, FRANZCP, is a graduate of King George's Medical University, Lucknow, India. He taught at his alma mater as Assistant Professor in Psychiatry before moving to Australia, where he has settled since. Lucknow, being a multicultural society, influenced his interest in cultural issues in psychiatric practice, and treating patients from diverse cultures in the UK and Australia enhanced his experience in the field. With his interest in teaching and research he has contributed articles with aspects of cultural psychiatry in scientific journals.
